The American Cancer Society (ACS) is kicking off Cancer Prevention Study-3, a nationwide drive enrolling at least 300,000 people throughout the country for a long-term health study to look at who gets cancer and how it might be prevented. Several large companies are stepping up to recruit their employees to take part in this study. GM is one of the corporations involved and cancer survivor Melissa Howell is spearheading the GM effort.
Take a look at the video to see how cancer impacted Melissa and why she is willing to step up and encourage others to participate in this historic research project.
