Chevrolet Sonic to Attempt GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS Title

MTV-reality and action sports-star Rob Dyrdek will attempt to set a GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS® record tomorrow in California

In 2011, Rob Dyrdek, host of MTV’s “Rob Dyrdek’s Fantasy Factory,” successfully performed a 360-degree kick-flip off a ramp in a Chevrolet Sonic. Tomorrow, Rob and the Sonic will take on another first as he attempts to set a GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS® record for the Farthest Reverse Ramp Jump by a Car.

The stunt will be performed before spectators at Six Flags Magic Mountain, while MTV films the jump for the Season Finale of “Fantasy Factory,” which is set to air on March 13, 2014 at 10:30 PM ET/PT on MTV.

With all high-speed action stunts, safety is a priority. The Chevrolet Sonic offers 10 standard air bags and high-strength steel as part of its body structure, making the small car a strong choice for this challenge.
