Many would say the best part of today’s game is checking out the commercials. Chevrolet was in on the action with two new commercial spots that give viewers a look at two personal journeys – one of passion and one of survival.
The second, titled “Life,” takes an emotional look at real-life struggles with cancer in recognition of World Cancer Day on Tuesday, February 4. The spot shows a young couple driving a Silverado pickup truck as the song “Don’t Leave,” by Norwegian singer Ane Brun, plays. The female passenger, a cancer survivor, looks out the window at the sunrise, smiles and tenderly clasps the hand of her male companion.
“Life” encourages viewers to change their Facebook and Twitter profiles to purple, the color of cancer survival. Through its Purple Roads initiative, Chevrolet has committed to donate $1 per profile to the American Cancer Society – up to $1 million total.
