The wind tunnels at General Motors are most often used to test aerodynamics of the latest Corvettes, Camaros, trucks, and other Chevrolet, Buick, GMC and Cadillac vehicles as they are being developed. Occasionally, the wind tunnels are used for testing something other than a vehicle.
One example is athletics. With competitions about to begin in Sochi, we wanted to take a quick look back at GM’s involvement with athletes from across the globe. These photos offer up a glimpse at how the Canadian Alpine Ski Team used GM’s wind tunnels for their own testing to see how their tuck positions cut through air.
